30 Day Foundations Course
If you're new to strength training, kettlebells, or group fitness—or it’s just been a minute—our Foundations memberships are the best way to kickstart your FUELhouse journey in a supportive setting.
This 4-session course teaches the fundamentals of safe, effective training while giving you full access to our FUELhouse community. You’ll gain confidence, learn proper form, and leave with a strong foundation to continue into group classes or personal training.
What are my options?
💪 Private Foundations: Train 1:1 with a coach based on your availability (ideally meeting 2x/week).
💪 Partner Foundations: Grab a friend or spouse and train at the same time with your coach (ideally meeting 2x/week)
💪 Group Foundations: offered quarterly in a small group setting (up to 6 participants with 1 coach)

FAQ’s
How does this series work?
Your first two weeks will focus on 2 foundations sessions per week (50-60 minutes in length). Private or Partner Foundations sessions will be based on your schedule and Group Foundations is at set dates/times. In the sessions, students will learn the foundations of Hard Style kettlebell training, and barbell basics under the watchful eye of a FH StrongFirst Instructor.
When can I start taking group classes?
You will have access to registering for classes the date of your first session. When you start adding in group classes (on top of your foundations sessions) is up to you and your coach. Please let them know when you’re interested in adding in classes. There is no right or wrong approach.
I am new to strength training in general. Is this course for me?
If you are brand new to strength training, we recommend you book Private Foundations vs. Group so that you get the 1:1 attention you deserve.
I have trained with Kettlebells in the past. Do I still need to take this course?
The short answer is: it depends. If you have kettlebell experience and taking classes is your overall goal, trying us out for a week can be a great place to start. This way, you can determine if Foundations is necessary. If you don’t know, book an intro consultation and we can talk through it!
I am intimidated by Kettlebells due to an old injury. Is this the best option for me?
This course is academically focused, meaning we spend our time honing in on safe and proper technique rather than focusing on a “workout pace.” We instruct everyone to take pauses so that reps are done with the highest quality possible. We also help to select a light/appropriate sized weight to do the task at hand in the safest way. We meet all students where they are at and encourage resting as often as needed. We will always help navigate angles or variations that best accommodate a previous injury or any cranky joints so you always feel safe. Safety is a standard on our floor.
When does it start and when are the sessions?
We run Group Foundations on a quarterly basis (Winter, Spring,, Summer, Fall). Private or Partner Foundations can be customized and scheduled based on your calendar needs.
Do I need to lift a certain amount of weight before joining this small group?
No. Foundations is essential for beginners, it’s also for the intermediate and advanced kettlebell enthusiast. We meet you where your at to achieve your intended goals.
Foundations Policies:
Cancellation made within 7 days of the first day of the course will incur a $125 cancellation fee.
Cancellation within 48 hours is non-refundable
Missed sessions may require a $75 private makeup session (to be determined with your foundations coach)
